B&O welcomes new addition to 4K TV family
Bang & Olufsen has revealed that it will be adding a third model to its BeoVision Avant range of 4K/Ultra HD TVs this year. "When we launched [BeoVision Avant] last year we saw unprecedented demand and unsurpassed feedback from consumers around the globe that agreed with out vision of the future of television" stated B&O's Vice President Brand, Design and Marketing Marie Kristine Schmidt. "With this family of Avants, we hope to offer consumers the choice they crave to make sure the TV can fit with their lifestyles and complement their homes. We not only wish to make sure the TV can blend into the bckground when not in use, but also add the wow factor with a show-stopping piece of technology".
Sitting between the current 55" and 85" models, the newly announced BeoVision Avant 75" will be available in Bang & Olufsen stores from the end of February, priced £11,595, including the BeoRemote One. Mounting options starting at an additional £1,145.
The brand also used CES 2015 to unveil its new "intelligent and intuitive" cloud-based wireless music system, the BeoSound Moment. Available exclusively through the brand's own stores from the end of January, priced around £1,795 (including 12 months of prepaid Deezer Premium+), the stylish BeoSound Moment comprises an angular dock and a double-sided 'tablet' (pictured above) that incorporates an aluminium interface on one side and a touch-sensitive wooden panel on the other. Naturally, it's also fully compatible with the entire range of B&O wireless and wired speakers.
Discussing future software updates for the product, Marie Kristine Schmidt revealed that "We have prepared a firm software update roadmap for BeoSound Moment including the deployment of a very compelling multiroom experience that encompasses both television and other audio products planned for Summer 2015".
