Optoma teases eye-catching ultra-short-throw 4K laser projector
Claiming to deliver a 100in 4K HDR image from a throw distance of less than 50cm, the UHZ65UST will use its laser light engine to craft 3,000 Lumens brightness, subject to final development. The projector will support Full HD 3D playback, and feature Optoma's usual Pure Motion frame interpolation.
Unusually, the UHZ65UST also features a built-in soundbar, rather than the typical low-powered squawker found in most home entertainment PJs. Developed by Optoma's sister brand NuForce, this appears to feature separate bass/high-frequency drivers for each stereo channel.
The projector's price point is TBC, with a £5,000 price point mooted at the recent ISE show.
The UHZ65UST will join Optoma's expansive 4K HDR projector lineup, which includes the lamp-based UHD 51 (£1,400) and the £4,000 UHZ65 laser model.
More details when we get them. Here are some moody visuals.
