Between 1959 and 1964, B-movie purveyor Roger Corman directed a cycle of eight critically-acclaimed films based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe. Seven of these starred Vincent Price, six of which are collected in this limited edition Blu-ray boxset – sadly, Arrow was unable to licence The Masque of the Red Death from StudioCanal.

Last year saw the BBC's popular Saturday evening sci-fi series undergo another period of transition, introducing a new actor in the lead role. Unsurprisingly, Peter Capaldi's spiky portrayal of The Doctor upset some fans, but it was clearly a calculated move on the part of showrunner Steven Moffat, shaking up the status quo to keep the series feeling fresh and unpredictable.

HBO's blockbuster adaptation of George R.R. Martin's series of fantasy novels continues to go from strength-to-strength. Following the shocking events of last season's 'Red Wedding', the political landscape has shifted, with new players entering the arena and old ones facing a multitude of new threats. Of course, discussing anything that happens risks spoiling the myriad twists and shocks that these ten episodes have in store for those not already watching on Sky Atlantic. So all we'll say is that Game of Thrones remains one of the best TV dramas being made today. Watch it!

Against all the odds, 2011's Rise of the Planet of Apes turned out to be an unexpectedly smart and assured reboot for the iconic sci-fi franchise. And as good as that film was, director Matt (Cloverfield) Reeve's sequel trumps it in every regard.

It's business-as-usual in this third instalment in Sylvester Stallone's cinematic retirement home for elderly action stars. This time around the plot involves the search for a former-Expendable-turned-arms dealer (Mel Gibson), a situation that is apparently so serious that it necessitates not only the recruiting of even more old action stars (Wesley Snipes! Antonio Banderas! Harrison Ford! Er… Kelsey Grammer!), but an injection of fresh blood (Kellan Lutz! Glen Powell! Ronda Rousey! Victor Ortiz!).

You're Next writer Simon Barrett and director Adam Wingard serve up another slice of home invasion horror with this superb genre mash-up.

Released in 1974, Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a one-of-a-kind flick; a lightning-in-a-bottle moment of movie madness that none of its creators have ever come close to recapturing.
