Paramount lets Pet Sematary trailer off the leash
A second bigscreen adaptation of Stephen King's terrifying novel Pet Sematary is coming to cinemas in 2019 – and thanks to this new trailer, we have our first idea of how it compares to the creepy 1989 version...
Following the box office success of IT last year, bestselling horror author Stephen King has be deemed box office gold once again, with film adaptations of a number of his novels currently in development in Hollywood. First out of the gate is Pet Sematary, a cinematic retelling of King's seriously nasty 1983 novel (previously filmed by Mary Lambert in 1989), which is currently set to terrify UK cinema audiences from April 5, 2019.
Co-directed by Dennis Widmeyer and Kevin Kolsch, this new version of Pet Sematary stars Jason Clarke as Louise Creed, Amy Seimetz as his wife Rachel and John Lithgow as their neighbour Jud Crandall. Here's our first look at what the film has in store for us...
