Resident Evil 4K Blu-ray boxset arriving this November

Home cinema owners can get set for a zombie overload when Sony Pictures' Resident Evil 4K UHD Collection boxset lands on November 2 in the UK.

The set will feature all six-live action movies in the long-running videogame franchise – Resident Evil [2002], Resident Evil: Apocalypse [2004], Resident Evil: Extinction [2007], Resident Evil: Afterlife [2010], Resident Evil: Retribution [2012] and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter [2016].

All will offer Dolby Atmos audio – perhaps surprising considering Sony's commitment to DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced – and 4K HDR visuals.

Each film will be accompanied by legacy extra features, including director's commentaries, deleted scenes and more. There's also the tease of 'rare archival featurettes that have been previously unavailable on disc.'

The boxset, priced £120, will also offer the Extended Cut of Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
