This brilliant 1970 serial is notable for marking a number of firsts for Doctor Who. For one thing, It marks the debut appearance of John Pertwee as the third incarnation of the Doctor. The story also introduces those deadly shop window dummies, the Autons. And on top of that, it was also the first Doctor Who story ever to be shot in colour.

SV Sound (SVS) was a pioneer in the field of direct sales in its native US and carved out a solid reputation for producing no-nonsense designs that punched well above their price point. US high-end audio marque Pro Audio Technology will be showing off its latest subwoofer at the CEDIA Expo in Denver next month – a 1.5m wide bass beast with a 24in driver. In fact, the brand will use two of the new LFC-24sm woofers in its show demo, just to make sure attendees get the idea.

Samsung has pipped rival LG by announcing its curved OLED TV, the S9C, for the UK market. The next-gen display will go on sale on September 5 from specialist retailers.
