PVR honcho Humax has launched a new 2TB version of the YouView DTR-T1010, bumping up the recording space for telly addicts to around 1,200 hours of standard-definition or 500 hours of HD.   Available for £300 via Humax Direct, the DTR-T1010/2TB box packs all the features of its 1TB stablemate. This includes access to the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5 catchup services via a seven-day backwards EPG, plus free-to-air TV and an on-demand portal. The latter includes content from Dave, Yesterday, Now TV and the Sky Store.

Pioneer’s range of AV receivers caters to budgets from the extremely frugal to the decidedly lavish. If you feel that you sit in the latter category, you will need to look at the top of the pile and the SC-LX87.
